Brand a screen recording with your logo and title
For: a video that looks like it came from your company, not from a screen recorder: a client tutorial, a release walkthrough, a support answer you will send more than once.
A raw recording is a rectangle of someone's desktop. Put it on a background with some padding, round the corners, add a title above it and a logo in the corner, and it is a piece of company output. Studio does that at export, from files you put in one folder once.
The flow
- Put your logo in
~/QACut/brand/, once. The same folder feeds the brand kit for bundles. - Record as usual:
Ctrl+Shift+R, drag the region, Record, do the thing,Ctrl+Shift+Rto stop. - In the studio's inspector, choose a background, and set the padding, corner radius and shadow of the frame.
- In the Branding section, add a title and subtitle in the padding above or below the frame, and pick the logo for a corner.
- Press Export….
What you get
An MP4 in the recording's folder with the background, frame, title, subtitle and logo baked in, rendered at the export's resolution, whether that is 720p, 1080p or 1440p. Both the preview and the export render them, so the title you positioned is the title on the video.
Tips
- Naming the recording names the MP4 and its folder, so name it for the topic before you export.
- The same brand folder serves bundles. Put your colours, fonts and a
brand.mdof voice notes there too, and an agent writing a document from a bundle will match them. - Padding is where the title and subtitle live. Give the frame enough of it for the text to sit above or below without crowding the recording.
- The camera bubble and narration are composited by the same renderer, so a branded video can carry both as well.
